Onsite Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Storeroom Attendant to support daily inventory and material management operations at a customer site in Chino, CA. This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, issuing materials to employees, receiving shipments, and ensuring the storeroom remains organized, safe, and efficient. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, possesses strong customer service skills, and has experience with inventory control, material handling, and computerized inventory systems. This position requires extensive walking throughout the facility and frequent interaction with customer personnel while maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking hands-on warehouse and inventory experience with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position based on performance and business needs. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management Receive, inspect, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips. Identify damaged or missing materials and report discrepancies promptly. Accurately stock products, tools, parts, and supplies in designated storage locations. Maintain organized inventory using established storage procedures and product coding systems. Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits. Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors when replenishment is required. Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized inventory management systems. Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist in resolving inventory issues. Material Issuing & Customer Support Issue materials, tools, and equipment to employees accurately and efficiently. Process transactions using barcode scanners, handheld devices, iPads, and inventory software. Maintain complete documentation of issued, returned, and transferred inventory. Deliver materials and tools to designated work areas when required. Provide courteous and professional customer service while responding to inventory requests and inquiries. Assist employees in locating products and verifying inventory availability. Receiving & Warehouse Operations Unload trucks and receive incoming deliveries safely. Transport materials using manual pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment. Label, sort, organize, and store inventory according to established procedures. Assist with putting away received materials in proper warehouse locations. Restock vending machines with inventory when assigned. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storeroom and warehouse environment. Follow all workplace safety procedures and OSHA guidelines. Equipment & Tool Control Inspect tools and equipment for wear, damage, or defects. Report damaged equipment to supervisors for repair or replacement. Assist with basic maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of tools when required. Locate missing tools or equipment and maintain accountability records. Administrative Duties Enter inventory transactions accurately into computerized inventory systems. Maintain inventory logs, reports, and documentation. Record inventory adjustments and discrepancies. Support continuous improvement initiatives for inventory accuracy and warehouse organization. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 months of warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience. High School Diploma or GED preferred (not required). Previous experience working in a warehouse, storeroom, distribution center, manufacturing, or industrial environment. Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn inventory management software. Experience using barcode scanners, handheld devices, tablets, or iPads. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with:
Inventory Control Shipping & Receiving Cycle Counting Material Handling Warehouse Operations Tool Crib Operations Forklift and/or Cherry Picker experience preferred but not required. Familiarity with inventory or ERP systems such as: Microsoft Office Prophet 21 SX.e Vista Control Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the workday. Frequent walking throughout a large facility. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and stooping. Ability to climb ladders up to 6-8 feet when necessary. Ability to safely operate a manual pallet jack. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment, including hot summer and cold winter conditions. Steel-toe safety shoes are required.
