Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Animal Caretaker/Cleaner to join our team in providing compassionate care and maintaining a clean, safe environment for our animals. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being of the animals and the cleanliness of their living spaces. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, attention to detail, and a responsible attitude toward animal safety and hygiene. Duties Feed, water, and monitor the health of animals according to established guidelines Clean and disinfect animal enclosures and surrounding areas to promote hygiene and prevent disease Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to management promptly Assist with daily enrichment activities to promote mental stimulation for the animals Ensure all equipment used for animal care is properly sanitized and stored after use Take trash cans out to street Skills Compassionate and patient demeanor when handling animals of various species and sizes Strong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and proper care standards are maintained Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols diligently Good physical stamina for lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, cleaning, and standing for extended periods Basic knowledge of animal behavior and health is preferred but not required; training will be provided Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
