We offer a wide range of tailored services, including short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and comprehensive therapy options such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy. The Housekeeping/Laundry Staff provide the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping/laundry department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility to assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner and that an adequate supply of laundry/linen is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents. Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned. Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments. Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc. (
NOTE:
Ensure that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties.) Perform isolation cleaning procedures in accordance with established infection control procedures. Assist in maintaining material safety data sheets (MSDSs) for hazardous chemicals in the laundry department. Ensure that containers of hazardous chemicals in the department are properly labeled and stored. Follow established policies governing the use of labels and MSDSs Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to your supervisor. Ensure that established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained when performing laundry procedures. Other requirements that may become necessary/appropriate to assure that our laundry department is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required) Minimum 3 to 6 months of experience in housekeeping or laundry services, preferably in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), rehabilitation center, or long-term care setting Basic understanding of cleaning and sanitation protocols, infection control procedures, and safety regulations Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
