Job Description
Per Diem Positions at Ampla Health 29827 This is an unbenefited position that includes a 10% incentive on hourly wage. General Purpose Under the supervision of the Maintenance Operations Manager, the Housekeeping Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment throughout Ampla Health facilities. This position performs daily cleaning, disinfecting, and housekeeping duties to support the health and safety of patients, staff, and visitors. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clean and sanitize clinic facilities, including exam rooms, offices, restrooms, kitchens, waiting areas, and common spaces. Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as furniture, door handles, light switches, counters, and fixtures daily. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors and carpeted areas. Empty interior and exterior trash receptacles and replace liners as needed. Clean and restock restrooms with soap, paper towels, and other supplies. Clean interior and exterior windows as needed. Spot clean carpets and address spills promptly. Safely clean and disinfect bodily fluids according to established procedures. Perform minor custodial tasks, including plunging toilets and maintaining facility cleanliness. Monitor inventory levels and request cleaning supplies as needed. Maintain cleaning schedules and complete required checklists and documentation. Travel to various clinic locations as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience preferred. Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and sanitation practices. Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Qualities & Characteristics Professional, dependable, and positive attitude. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, and lifting. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb ladders and safely work throughout clinic facilities. Requires sufficient vision, hearing, and communication skills to perform job duties. Exposure to cleaning chemicals, bodily fluids, and healthcare environments. May travel between clinic locations as needed.
