Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Houseperson to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this vital role, you will be the backbone of maintaining a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Your proactive approach to cleaning, floor care, and overall custodial duties will ensure our property remains pristine and inviting at all times. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a positive guest experience while developing valuable skills in hospitality and housekeeping management. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of public areas, guest corridors, lobbies, and other common spaces to uphold cleanliness standards. Conduct detailed floor care including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet maintenance to ensure surfaces are spotless and safe. Assist with replenishing supplies in guest rooms, hallways, and public areas to support overall housekeeping operations. Support the housekeeping team by transporting linens, cleaning supplies, and equipment efficiently across the property. Maintain cleanliness of service areas, storage closets, and utility spaces by organizing and sanitizing regularly. Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure swift resolution and uphold safety protocols. Collaborate with hotel staff to deliver exceptional service that enhances guest satisfaction through a clean and welcoming environment. Qualifications Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles is preferred; hotel or hospitality experience is highly advantageous. Knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning. Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and sanitation standards. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting supplies or moving equipment.
