Houseperson Job Requirements Education  Minimum requirement is High School completion certificate. Four-year College or Hospitality degree is preferred, and/or equivalent work experience  Brand certification programs are preferred

Experience:

 Prior hotel is preferred  Brand experience is preferred  Strong guest service skills required  Must have a valid ID from the applicable state Physical Requirements  Long hours sometimes required  Light work-Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and /or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects  Ability to stand for long hours at a time Primary Objective of Position To maintain the quality and condition in accordance with the standards of the hotel and company by performing preventive maintenance and repairs as necessary. Understands and implements the Mission, Vision and Core Values at all time. Major Areas of Accountability  Exceeds guest and team-member expectations by providing service and teamwork  Provides value added service to guests by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to exceed guest expectations  Communicates effectively with guests, co-workers and supervisors  Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed  Handles difficult situations effectively  Meets brand/hotel standards  Performs other duties as required to perform service standards and teamwork  Maintains the cleanliness of the lobbies and other areas  Maintains cleanliness of the exterior of building and grounds as necessary  Maintains and assists in the cleanliness of individual work area.  Adheres to hotel policy and procedures  Attends work on time as scheduled  Follows hotel grooming and dress standards  Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures and wears gear/clothing as required  Performs all duties responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.  Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other associates to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.  At all times projects a favorable image of the company and the hotel to the public.  Assists with any other tasks and projects as needed to complete daily hotel operations to provide and maintain excellent service and teamwork
