Job Description
Overview We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Hotel Houseman/Porter to support housekeeping operations and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests. This role is responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of public areas, assisting housekeeping staff, and supporting overall hotel operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences. Key ResponsibilitiesPublic Area Maintenance Clean and maintain hotel public areas, including the lobby, hallways, elevators, stairways, entrances, pool areas, and other guest spaces. Vacuum, mop, dust, sanitize surfaces, remove trash, and perform general cleaning duties. Ensure all guest-facing areas remain clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Housekeeping Support Assist housekeeping staff with daily room turnover operations. Strip beds and remove used linens and towels from guest rooms. Transport soiled linens and towels to designated laundry or collection areas. Deliver clean linens, towels, guest amenities, and requested items to guest rooms. Assist with room preparation and housekeeping projects as needed. Inspect linens and towels for stains, tears, damage, or excessive wear and report replacement needs to management. Operational Support Maintain housekeeping carts, storage rooms, and supply areas in a clean and organized condition. Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, property damage, and cleanliness issues promptly. Support hotel operations through additional cleaning, maintenance assistance, and special projects as assigned. Provide courteous and professional service to guests and respond promptly to guest requests. Follow all hotel policies, safety procedures, and brand standards. Qualifications Previous housekeeping, janitorial, hotel, or porter experience preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed. Positive attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction.
