The Room Attendant will be responsible for servicing guest rooms, hallways, and other areas as assigned while making sure to follow a comprehensive cleaning process throughout the hotel and property in accordance with Company standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Adhere to Oxford Hotels & Resorts, LLC guidelines and core values to ensure the health, safety and comfort of our team members and guests.
- Clean guest rooms to Company standards including but not limited to making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms completely, wiping down walls, etc.
- Restock cart with cleaning and sanitization supplies such as cleaning products, mops, wipes, and brooms. Replenish chemical bottles.
- Utilize Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and in accordance with property specific guidelines for completing the job safely.
- Clean rooms within the minutes-per-room guideline established by the Housekeeping Manager and General Manager.
- Turn in all items left in guestroom to manager immediately. Report any missing/found articles or damage that is in need of immediate attention to the Housekeeping Manager.
- Maintain complete security of master room key. Return the key at the end of shift. Never leave property with the master room key.
- Follow Company policy for room amenities.
- Assist with laundry as needed.
- Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel, and communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2 years previous experience in housekeeping, laundry, and/or janitorial services (preferred).
- Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent:
Standing and walking during entire shift. Kneeling, squatting, and bending constantly. Pushing up to 50lbs. Pulling, lifting, carrying, or otherwise moving up to 20lbs. Frequent use of hand, wrist, and other manual dexterity in use throughout shift. Exposure to EAP approved cleaning chemicals, dust, and smells.
Occasional:
Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Interacting with guests (speaking, listening, writing).
