Assisted Living Environmental Service Associate

We are searching for an Environmental Service Associate to work the following schedule:

20 hours per week including every other weekend. Must be available to work mornings, evenings and mid shift when needed.

Qualifications:

Previous environmental service/housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting a plus Self-starter that displays initiative and positivity. Demonstrates cooperation and teamwork with peers and other departments. Engages in positive customer service interaction with residents, families and visitors. Takes ownership of an error in delivery of service and works to correct the problem. Contributes to meeting the fluctuating staffing needs of the department as evidenced by flexibility in own assignments and work schedules. Attends all mandatory education and in-service programs as indicated by attendance records. Displays good attendance and is punctual. Will work weekends and/or holidays as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist Environmental Service Director as needed and be able to delegate assignments to the Environmental Services team members in a diplomatic manner. Responsible for general housekeeping duties in accordance with policies and procedures. Responsible to fill-in Laundry Dept. as needed. Performs duties to ensure the cleanliness of offices, public areas, restrooms, stairwells, elevators and corridors and resident rooms. Receives all incoming freight orders and delivers orders to appropriate storage areas. Assists in seasonal cleaning projects (floor and carpet care) Perform porter responsibilities Attends to any reasonable request from the Director of Environmental Services Performs duties as needed in the event of a call out when no replacement is available.
