Housekeeper - Gulfshore Playhouse
GULFSHORE PLAYHOUSE SEEKS
a Housekeeper Gulfshore Playhouse, a mission-driven, professional theatre company located in Naples, Florida, is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and hospitality driven individual to serve as a Housekeeper. Gulfshore Playhouse offers a diverse season of straight plays and musicals ranging from classics and Broadway hits to contemporary works and world premieres. Gulfshore Playhouse is committed to producing high-quality professional theatre that exceeds the expectations of our patrons. Gulfshore Playhouse recently opened the Baker Theatre and Education Center, a state-of-the-art facility featuring a 365-seat mainstage, a 125-seat flexible theatre, rehearsal studios, classrooms, and event spaces. Non-Exempt Representative Duties:
The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patrons, artists, students, volunteers, and staff. The successful candidate is reliable, organized, and works well independently and as part of a team. Clean and maintain public spaces, offices, classrooms, rehearsal rooms, dressing rooms, backstage areas, and restrooms. Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, disinfect, and sanitize assigned areas. Restock restroom and janitorial supplies. Empty trash and recycling containers. Clean glass, windows, mirrors, doors, and other surfaces. Monitor building cleanliness throughout the day and respond to housekeeping requests. Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed. Report maintenance or safety concerns to the Facilities Department. Safely operate housekeeping equipment and cleaning products. Maintain housekeeping storage areas and supply inventory. Support seasonal deep cleaning projects. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities.
Qualifications:
Previous commercial, hospitality, school, healthcare, or theatre housekeeping experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day. Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and special events when needed. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
