Job Description

Lexington Place NSB, a Concordis Senior Living property, is an assisted living community located in New Smyrna Beach, FL.. Concordis is looking for a driven, energetic and experienced Housekeeping with excellent organizational skills and strong people skills. The responsibilities of the Housekeeping are, but not limited to: Cleans public areas and resident's apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios & windows, floors, furniture and common areas.
Performs all housekeeping duties including:
o distributing laundered articles and linens replacing and hanging draperies changing beds cleaning public restrooms and replenishing supplies as needed sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies dusting furniture and equipment polishing metalwork washing walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills Performs all laundry duties including: washing, drying and ironing resident laundry and community linens and textiles in provided appliances folding and/or hanging laundry appropriately distributing laundered articles and linens replacing and hanging draperies and changing beds. Maintains resident laundry areas including mopping floors and washing walls regularly. Washes windows at reasonable heights throughout the community as requested. Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition. Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and supplies. Stocks cleaning cart with supplies. Keep the cabinets of the housekeeping carts locked at all times. Empties wastebaskets, and transports trash and waste to disposal area. Ensures with maintenance that trash and dumpster areas are clean. Reports resident issues or changes in health or living status promptly. Reports potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance related issues promptly to Supervisor. Follow proper user directions for all compounds and chemicals, including use of proper proportions. Ensures residents safety when in resident areas with use of proper signage, etc. Complies with all federal, state and other applicable healthcare and safety standards. May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Should be familiar with safe operation of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, spray bottles, and with the safe use of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Must pay attention to detail, be flexible/adaptable, and be sensitive to the needs of residents. Must be able to work independently within a team environment Strong organizational and time management skills. Maintains neat appearance, good hygiene and appropriate attire. Able to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and/or co-workers. Able to clearly present information through the spoken word. Can accurately communicate, providing the necessary level of detail even under stressful or demanding conditions. Ensures a positive attitude and team orientation is exhibited in verbal and non-verbal communication. Supports a dignified and caring atmosphere with residents, residents' families, visitors and Team Members. Maintains safe and secure working environment and practices safe working habits. Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for chemicals or hazardous materials. Participates in training, in services, and attends meetings as required. High school diploma or GED. Minimum one (1) year housekeeping experience preferred. Must enjoy working with seniors Must possess high-energy/enthusiasm, be a self-starter, and is willing to do whatever it takes to provide residents with an outstanding dining experience.
