Job Description
Houseman /Butler , Live-on Palm Beach & Southampton A private executive couple is seeking a dependable and kind Live-In Houseman/ Butler to join their full, tenured household staff. This role is ideal for a service-minded individual who is comfortable being present and available to the principals during the late afternoon and evening hours, offering thoughtful household support, calm assistance, and hospitality as needed. The beautiful residence is in Palm Beach, FL. To be successful in this role you must be flexible with a discreet, flexible demeanor. Key Responsibilities Provide calm, attentive support to the principals during the 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm shift Assist with daily household operations, light maintenance, and evening closing routines Work collaboratively with the established household team and support housekeepers with polishing, vacuuming, and cleaning fixtures as needed Greet guests, assist with luggage, receive deliveries, and help with simple hospitality needs Troubleshoot basic household technology and AV equipment Maintain outdoor areas, patios, pathways, storage spaces, and household vehicles Run errands, drive principals as needed, and coordinate fueling, cleaning, and service appointments for vehicles Remain available for emergency on-call support during scheduled live-in nights Occasional travel to Southampton, NY to support a busy summer weekend a plus Qualifications Minimum 2 years' experience in a private home, hospitality, estate, or related service environment Warm, steady, caring presence with excellent judgment and a service-oriented mindset Knowledge of household service standards, etiquette, and proper cleaning methods (the principals' team will offer training to fill in any gaps in our knowledge) Strong communication skills and ability to work graciously within a long-tenured team Valid driver's license and legal authorization to work in the U.S. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and manage the physical aspects of the role Long-term employment mindset and a discreet, professional demeanor Schedule & Details The schedule is 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, five days per week This individual sleeps in private accommodation on property five nights/week to be available for emergency on-call support Live-in position with lovely private accommodation provided Two consecutive days off each week
