Housekeeping/Laundry

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and sanitation, with a strong focus on environmental services and custodial responsibilities. Prior janitorial or hospital experience is a plus, along with knowledge of OSHA standards and floor care procedures. Duties Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness standards. Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and uniforms efficiently. Ensure all surfaces are sanitized according to health and safety guidelines, including restroom facilities and common areas. Maintain cleanliness of floors through proper floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning as needed. Follow established protocols for environmental services to ensure compliance with sanitation standards. Use appropriate cleaning agents and equipment safely while adhering to OSHA regulations. Restock supplies in designated areas to ensure availability for staff and guests. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management. Requirements Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred; hospital or healthcare environment experience is advantageous. Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and environmental services standards. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use. Experience with floor care techniques such as waxing, stripping, buffing, or carpet cleaning is desirable. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to lift moderate loads and stand for extended periods during shifts. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on maintaining cleanliness standards consistently. Reliable work ethic with a commitment to providing high-quality service in a safe environment.
