Job description: Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping House person to join our hospitality team. We're a highly-regarded property in our area looking for a motivated, organized house person to join our team. Your mission is to provide an exceptional experience to every guest who stays with us. Cleaning duties will include making beds, vacuuming laundry and mopping, restocking toiletries, washing and ironing sheets, and other general tasks. If cleaning is a task that sparks joy for you and you love working with a team, we want to hear from you! The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our hotel facilities. Prior experience in cleaning or custodial services is preferred, especially within hotel or hospitality settings. Duties Ensure guest rooms are clean and tidy according to our hotel's standards before guests arrive Keep clean and maintain public area, common spaces such as the lobby, hallways, lobbies, elevator, restrooms and back-of-house spaces Document rooms cleaned, and report lost and found items and any damage or repairs needed Vacuum, mop, make beds, dust and polish furniture, stock rooms with toiletries, and do laundry as needed, Remove trash and dirty linens from guest room floors and housekeeping carts. Answer general questions from guests, Respond promptly to guest requests such as extra linens, pillows, or rollaway beds. Additional tasks assigned by Management Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces Perform floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, and polishing to ensure surfaces are clean and safe, Assist with deep cleaning projects, furniture moving, and special setups as needed. Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping closets and ensure carts are stocked. Support housekeeping staff with replenishing supplies Linens, towels, amenities and cleaning supplies to room attendants and restocking linen carts Assist with laundry or room cleaning tasks during busy periods or staff shortages. Ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards and safety regulations Handle light maintenance tasks and report any repairs needed to management Maintain cleanliness of hallways, stairwells, elevators, and other common areas Use janitorial and industrial cleaning equipment effectively and safely, Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control policies and procedures. Follow established protocols for infection control and safety procedures, Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department. Requirements Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services is preferred Knowledge of floor care techniques and industrial cleaning methods is a plus Prior hotel or hospitality experience is advantageous but not mandatory Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety standards in all assigned areas.
Qualifications:
Experience with a variety of cleaning products and techniques Hard worker with strong time management, organizational, and communication skills 1+ years as a professional housekeeper or similar position Graduated high school, received G.E.D or equivalent
