SCHEDULE
Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 7 am - 3:30 pm To perform the major floor cleaning and refinishing functions in accordance with the standard procedures of the housekeeping department and in accordance with the facility's objectives. Cleans and maintains all carpeted and hard surfaces in the facility. Perform preventive maintenance on special floor equipment. Will use cleaning devices including automatic floor equipment, 20'' roto, commercial vacuum cleaners, and 24 oz. mops, wringers and all other necessary equipment, tools, products, and supplies in the performance of the job. Participates in the department's performance improvement activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Must satisfy requirements of pre-employment and annual physical including being able to climb ladders. Must be able to demonstrate skills and knowledge of proper use of chemicals and equipment in stripping and refinishing floors and in shampooing carpeting to achieve the desired result. Must be able to pass a test of skill and mechanical aptitude to detect any equipment malfunctions for safety to self and others.
WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION
Comfortable routine working conditions with the possibility of irregular schedule including weekends. Exposure to certain levels of stress. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. Exposed to hazard of burns and cuts due to working with hot equipment. Constant standing or walking with regular periods of concentration.
