As a Housekeeper, you play an important role in resident comfort, infection prevention, and maintaining the overall quality of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean the resident's rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas Perform routine housekeeping duties including mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting, and waste removal Follow infection control and safety procedures Maintain housekeeping equipment, carts, and supply inventory Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Support a respectful and positive environment for residents and staff

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Qualifications Housekeeping, janitorial, or related experience preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment Strong reliability and attention to detail Ability to follow safety and infection control procedures Ability to regularly lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds and move objects weighing over 50lbs Ability to remain active throughout the shift to include climbing and maintaining balance on ladder Company Description Located in picturesque Hilo, Hawaii, Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home features dedicated short-term rehabilitation services and residential long-term placement.
