Vacation Rental Cleaner / Housekeeper

Gleam Clean Hawai'i is looking for motivated, detail-oriented and reliable Housekeepers to join our growing team! We are a locally owned cleaning company, specializing in vacation rentals and residential housekeeping with a reputation built around our passion for Hospitality, exceptional attention to detail, and consistent, dependable service. As a new team member, you can expect comprehensive training, ongoing support, a flexible schedule, and all the tools you need to be successful.

Schedule & Pay Rate:

This is a part-time/casual position, and volume of work will vary based on our clients' schedules. Ideally, we are looking for individuals with availability to work two (2) or more days per week between the hours of 10am-4pm. We pay a minimum flat rate of $60 for small vacation rental studios. Cleaning supplies and laundry costs are covered by the company. If the duties and requirements below sound like a fit, we'd love to hear from you!

What You Will Do:

Track cleanings assigned to you using our mobile scheduling application Consistently complete cleanings on time, ensuring there is no delay for guests checking in Review cleaning checklists and guidance photos prior to beginning each job Perform cleaning duties such as dusting, polishing furniture, cleaning kitchen appliances, tubs/showers, toilets, sinks, baseboards, sweeping, mopping floors, etc., according to established procedures Complete highly detailed cleaning checklists and perform bed-making, towel folding, decor placement, etc., as pictured in guidance photos Check used linens and towels for stains, pre-treat stains and wash laundry using onsite laundry machines; report any permanently stained items to supervisor Replenish guest supplies such as toilet paper, shower toiletries, soaps, etc. Empty trash and dispose of waste materials properly Report any damage, supply shortages and maintenance needs to the supervisor Perform inspection and take photos/video after each cleaning to submit to the supervisor Occasionally you may be asked to pick up/drop off laundry at a nearby location for units that do not have onsite laundry facilities

What We Are Looking For:

Reliable transportation with the ability to easily commute to Waikiki Availability to work between the hours of 10am-4pm at least two (2) days per week Ability to read and follow detailed instructions/checklists, and to accurately duplicate staging using guidance photos Proven reliability, resourcefulness, and exceptional problem solving skills Strong time management skills with an understanding of how to prioritize tasks Ability to clean two (2) studio units within a 4 (four) hour timeframe after completing training and within 30 days of employment Positive attitude with an openness to constructive feedback and willingness to learn The majority of the cleaning products we use are non-toxic, however, you must be comfortable using harsher chemicals such as bleach when needed Ability to pass a background check if required by our clients

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time Ability to perform repetitive movements such as bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling Ability to effectively handle and control cleaning tools and equipment •Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
