TrinityRail is proud to TrinityRail Maintenance Services, Inc. is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position of Career Tool Room Attendant at our Shell Rock, IA Plant. As a Tool Room Attendant at Trinity, you'll issue, receive, and store hand tools and other equipment. You'll keep an inventory of tools, inspect tools and equipment for wear or defects, and order new equipment when needed and according to approval guidelines. You'll also maintain records of tool use. This role requires a highly organized individual with strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to stewardship of tools, equipment, and company resources. The ideal candidate is comfortable using technology platforms to track inventory and support tool management processes while delivering strong service to internal customers. What you'll do: Locate and check out tools as requested Maintain tools and equipment ready for use Coordinate tool maintenance and repair activities Track and maintain accurate inventory levels, usage records, and tool accountability Effectively manage and monitor inventory, tools, and equipment usage including costing information Inspect tools and equipment to identify wear, damage, or defects and take appropriate action Utilize technology platforms (ERP systems, inventory tracking systems, or Microsoft Office) to maintain accurate records Provide timely support and communication to internal teams regarding needs and request Ensure proper tool storage, organization, and housekeeping standards are maintained Deliver resources to stakeholders by safely operating equipment across a 230+ acre plant Follow all safety rules and practices Perform other duties as assigned within or outside the department What you need: Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience Basic mechanical aptitude
