Hotel Housekeeper

Housekeeper - Hyatt Place Champaign/Urbana At Hyatt Place Champaign/Urbana, we are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through genuine hospitality, cleanliness, and outstanding service. We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented, and hardworking Housekeepers to join our team at our 145-room select-service hotel in downtown Champaign. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and public areas while ensuring Hyatt brand cleanliness standards are consistently achieved. Responsibilities Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to Hyatt brand standards and hotel expectations. Change linens, make beds, dust furniture, vacuum carpets, clean bathrooms, and replenish guest amenities. Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance concerns, and safety issues. Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts, storage rooms, and work areas. Respond promptly to guest requests and special cleaning needs. Ensure all lost and found items are properly handled according to hotel procedures. Support laundry operations and public area cleaning as needed. Report maintenance issues or damaged items to hotel leadership promptly. Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and security procedures. Work efficiently to meet daily productivity and room readiness goals. Qualifications Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred, but not required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Reliable attendance and punctuality required. Ability to work weekends and holidays as business demands require. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move continuously throughout the shift. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30 pounds regularly. Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
