Shift:

First shift (typically mornings to early afternoon) What You'd Be Doing (Core Responsibilities) This is a hands-on cleaning role in a healthcare or residential facility. Your main goal is to keep the environment clean, safe, and comfortable for residents .

Daily tasks include:

Following cleaning schedules Cleaning rooms, bathrooms, fixtures, and equipment Sweeping, mopping, waxing, and disinfecting floors Taking out trash and relining bins Using cleaning chemicals safely Wearing protective equipment when needed Coordinating with nursing staff when cleaning resident areas Reporting accidents or safety issues You may also be assigned other duties as needed. Important Expectations You must protect residents' private health information (HIPAA awareness) Follow strict safety and sanitation protocols Handle chemicals and potentially infectious materials carefully Basic Requirements Able to read, write, and understand English Follow instructions (written and verbal) Work well with coworkers and residents Be patient and respectful toward residents of different ability levels Physical Demands This is a physically active job : Walking and moving throughout your shift Lifting up to 25 lbs Pushing/pulling carts or equipment Reaching, bending, and cleaning various surfaces Handling some mental/emotional stress (common in care environments) What This Job Is Really Like (Honest Take) Expect repetitive cleaning work and being on your feet most of the day You'll likely work in a nursing home or assisted living setting , so cleanliness is critical It can be fast-paced , especially when coordinating with care staff Good fit if you like routine, physical work, and helping maintain a safe environment for others
