Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Lead Housekeeper to oversee cleaning operations at the Staybridge Suites in Glenview, IL. You will lead a team of housekeepers, ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality. Your leadership will create a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike, fostering a culture of excellence, efficiency, and teamwork. Previous hotel experience is required in order to be considered for this role. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning, floor care, and maintenance tasks. Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and hospitality standards. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to brand standards. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens, ensuring resources are used efficiently. Develop work schedules that optimize staffing levels for peak times while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with other departments to address special cleaning requests or maintenance issues promptly. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment. Skills Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or custodial work within hospitality or industrial environments. Previous hotel experience or background in hospitality settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing a team of housekeeping staff. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Knowledge of safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use.
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
