Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper/Laundry Worker to join our team and help maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and laundry duties to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are upheld. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the overall guest experience and operational excellence. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and staff spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces. Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens, towels, and guest clothing with care and efficiency. Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, scrubbing, and applying appropriate floor care techniques to ensure safety and appearance. Restock supplies in guest rooms and common areas to ensure availability of essentials like toiletries, linens, and cleaning products. Follow established safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment to promote a safe working environment. Assist with inventory management by tracking cleaning supplies and laundry materials, notifying management when stock needs replenishing. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of cleaning schedules while providing exceptional service to guests or residents. Skills Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or hospitality environments with a focus on housekeeping or industrial cleaning. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning. Familiarity with hotel or hospitality industry standards for cleanliness and guest service is highly desirable. Must clean at least 2 rooms per hour. Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation. Good organizational skills for managing laundry loads efficiently while adhering to schedules.
