ROOM ATTENDANT/HOUSEKEEPING

MINIMUM

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to stand, bend & crouch. Push, pull, lift up to 50 pounds, ability to work an - 8 hour shift on your feet.

JOB SUMMARY

Room Attendant is responsible to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness per EVEN standards in all Guestrooms. Must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining these standards & possess outstanding attention to detail at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Adhere to policies as defined in the Employee Handbook
• Thoroughly clean all rooms as assigned in the required time standards according to new IHG guidelines for cleanliness
• Clean all tile shower walls, porcelain marble and stainless steel fixtures in the bathroom
• Wipe and clean the bathroom sink, toilet, and tub.
• Clean bathroom floors, making sure to remove all debris
• Replenish all required guest amenities
• Clean exercise equipment in guest rooms
• Vacuum all carpet
• Clean all glass and mirrored surfaces
• Dust all furniture and ledges
• Remove all guest garbage and debris
• Maintain a neat and orderly cart and properly working equipment, such as a vacuum, etc.
• Maintain accurate cleaning report for their corresponding floor section
• Vacuum the hall outside of the guest room upon completion of the room
• Communicate with staff as directed on the status of all cleaned rooms
• Turn in all "lost and found" items as directed on day found noting pertinent information
• Promptly report all maintenance concerns and follow up on repairs
• Inform management of hazardous situations, emergencies or security threats
• Ensure that no occupied room is left open and unattended when being serviced

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to stand for 8 hours per shift
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds
• Must be able to bend at the waist and squat down to the floor, push, pull, twist
• Must have 20/20 vision, either with our without corrective lenses.
• Must be able to speak, read, and understand basic English.

MENTAL/REASONING REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to prioritize tasks
• Must be self-directed
• Must possess excellent attention to detail

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Indoors
• Working with various chemicals
• Working primarily alone
