CIC Environmental Services Tech (Housekeeping / Janitorial Staff)
Location:
Hays, Kansas |
Crisis Intervention Center Pay:
starting at $14-17 per hour (shift differentials available- earn $1-3 more per hour) | $500
SIGN-ON BONUS Job Type:
PRN (as-needed) [up to 28 hrs/wk] |
In-person Schedule:
typical shift runs 5pm-10pm | Ideal coverage: looking for someone who can pick up a few 5-hour shifts per week (up to 28 hrs/wk; mostly weekends)

WHAT
YOU'LL DO
Keep our CIC spotless by thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, restrooms, offices, kitchens, and shared spaces. Stay organized with a clear sanitation schedule; ensure all areas are consistently clean and safe. Disinfect high-touch surfaces and biohazard areas with the right cleaning agents and protective gear. Safely handle, dilute, and store cleaning supplies to maintain a secure and efficient workspace. Efficiently manage waste, including biohazardous materials, disposing of it properly in designated areas. Keep janitorial closets tidy and cleaning tools in top condition. Ensure bathrooms and common areas are stocked. Support safety by keeping hallways and exits clear, ready for any emergency. Quickly identify and report maintenance issues. Actively participate in quarterly fire, tornado, and emergency drills. Create a welcoming, trauma-informed environment. Maintain confidentiality of individuals.

Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old. Preferred experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or healthcare cleaning. Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safe dilution, and PPE use. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform tasks like standing, walking, bending. Must pass all background checks and screens. Must be physically capable of handling high-pressure or crisis situations. Must have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to work with individuals with serious mental illness or functional impairments.
