Clinic Housekeeper Heartland Community Health Center - 3.0 Lawrence, KS Job Details Part-time $18 - $25 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Confidential information handling Serving clients Customer service Patient service Full Job Description Job title Clinic Housekeeper Reports to Facilities Manager Status Non-Exempt (hourly $18.00 - $25.00) Job purpose The Clinic Housekeeper cleans all areas of Heartland's clinic sites by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms and corridors. The Clinic Housekeeper will demonstrate the ability to utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure. Duties and responsibilities Respond to emergencies in relation to cleaning clinic environment Clean and wipe windows, floors, etc. Dispose of wastes in wastebaskets as well as clean the wastebaskets Appropriately dispose of medical waste products like syringes, hand gloves, face mask, sachets of tablets, etc. Dust furniture as well as equipment Collect dirty towels for appropriate washing Wipeout blood or other body fluids and then disinfect the area of contact Use various types of cleaning equipment, like vacuum cleaners, washing machines, etc. Document the procedure involved in the disposal of clinic waste products, and ensure that the right procedure in line with the standard practice of the clinic, is followed. Other Duties and responsibilities Performs other work as assigned or requested Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent is preferred Must have Patient/Customer Care experience in a healthcare environment (physician's office, dental clinic, or hospital) Customer-service oriented; patient-centered focus that promotes the satisfaction and well-being of those we are called to serve Outgoing, welcoming personality a must Demonstrates high level of confidentiality Strong verbal communications skills and ability to communicate ideas and concepts successfully Demonstrated ability to remain calm when under pressure and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment High energy, positive attitude, ability to work autonomously, flexibility, teamwork, attention to detail, and high degree of initiative Agrees to uphold Heartland's guiding values of Compassion, Respect, Collaboration, and Integrity. Details Schedule:
Part-time non-exempt averaging 20 hours per week Hours M - F from 7:30 am - 7 pm as needed Hours are approximate and may be altered by supervisor(s) as needed
