Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, residential units, or public areas including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards. Care for floors by sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and applying protective finishes to ensure they remain spotless and well-maintained. Restock amenities such as toiletries, linens, towels, and other supplies to ensure guest comfort and operational efficiency. Follow established protocols for cleaning procedures using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to ensure safety and effectiveness. Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and supplies usage to support inventory management and quality control. Collaborate with team members and management to meet daily cleaning schedules while maintaining flexibility to adapt to special requests or urgent needs. Uphold all health and safety regulations related to janitorial work, including proper handling of chemicals and sanitation practices. Requirements Proven experience in cleaning roles such as hotel housekeeping, janitorial services, or custodial work is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, and use of industrial cleaning equipment. Experience working within the hospitality industry or in environments requiring meticulous attention to cleanliness is advantageous. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting heavy objects, and moving furniture when necessary. Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail to ensure no area is overlooked. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and understand guest or resident needs. A proactive attitude with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Flexibility in scheduling shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
