Responsibilities Maintaining a clean and safe environment: Environmental services staff are responsible for cleaning and disinfection, waste management, maintaining and ensuring a hygienic living space for residents.

Infection protection:

They implement infection control procedures to prevent the spread of infections among residents and staff.

Regulatory compliance:

They ensure adherence to federal and state environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Facility management:

They manage housekeeping and laundry operations, coordinating with nursing services to maintain a well-ordered environment.

Routine maintenance:

Performing repairs and upkeep of facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.

Housekeeping:

Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in common areas and living spaces.

Groundskeeping:

Managing outdoor spaces to ensure landscaping is safe and inviting.

Facilities management:

Overseeing maintenance operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Equipment maintenance:

Regularly checking HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems for safety and functionality.

Training and development:

Participating in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to maintenance and facility management. These responsibilities are crucial for the overall well-being and quality of care in nursing homes. Requirements Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and collaborate with team members.
