Housekeeper Job Description Position Title Housekeeper / Room Attendant Reports To Executive Housekeeper / General Manager Position Summary We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our hotel team. The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning guest rooms and public areas while providing excellent hospitality and maintaining brand cleanliness standards. This position plays a major role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming experience for every guest. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clean and service guest rooms daily according to hotel standards Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and amenities Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust guest rooms and public areas Clean and sanitize bathrooms, mirrors, sinks, tubs, and toilets Remove trash and transport waste to designated disposal areas Restock housekeeping carts and supply closets Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items immediately Ensure rooms are inspection-ready within required timeframes Follow all hotel safety, security, and sanitation procedures Assist with laundry duties when needed Provide friendly and professional guest service at all times Maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy Qualifications Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and time management skills Ability to stand, bend, lift, push, and walk for extended periods Must be dependable, punctual, and professional Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching Ability to push/pull housekeeping carts throughout the property Work Environment Fast-paced hotel environment Exposure to cleaning chemicals and laundry equipment Indoor work with frequent guest interaction Schedule Full-Time and Part-Time positions available Weekend and holiday availability may be required Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay Employee discounts Paid training Opportunities for advancement Equal Opportunity Statement Our hotel is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
