Houseperson 10960 Siegen-holiday Circle, Baton Rouge, LA 70809 $12.00 - $13.50 an hour - Part-time $12.00 - $13.50 an hour - Part-time Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Houseperson, where your energy and attention to detail will help create a welcoming and spotless environment for our guests. In this vital role, you will support the overall cleanliness and maintenance of guest areas, hallways, service corridors, and public spaces. Your proactive approach will ensure that our facilities are pristine, safe, and inviting, contributing to an exceptional guest experience every day. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in hospitality, janitorial services, and facility upkeep within a vibrant team environment. Duties Maintain cleanliness of public areas, hallways, stairwells, and service corridors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting. Assist with the replenishment of guest amenities and supplies in public spaces and back-of-house areas. Support housekeeping staff by removing trash, replacing linens, and ensuring all areas meet cleanliness standards. Conduct routine floor care including stripping, waxing, polishing, and carpet cleaning to uphold high standards of appearance. Report maintenance issues promptly to ensure timely repairs and prevent safety hazards. Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; ensure proper storage and usage. Follow safety protocols related to industrial cleaning procedures and custodial practices to maintain a safe working environment. Requirements Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services; hotel experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning. Strong understanding of hospitality standards with a focus on guest satisfaction. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently. Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
