Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Helper to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas—whether commercial, residential, or industrial—are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Your energetic approach and dedication will contribute to creating a welcoming, hygienic environment for clients, staff, and visitors alike. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in cleaning, custodial tasks, and facilities upkeep while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies Assist with janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces Support floor care activities including buffing, polishing, and maintaining various flooring types to ensure a pristine appearance Conduct industrial cleaning tasks in warehouses or manufacturing facilities as needed Help with custodial responsibilities for maintaining cleanliness in both commercial and residential environments Participate in basic facilities maintenance activities such as light repairs or reporting maintenance issues promptly Support porters or custodial staff during busy periods or special cleaning projects to ensure timely completion of tasks Experience Prior experience in cleaning or janitorial roles is highly preferred Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing is advantageous Experience with commercial cleaning or industrial cleaning environments is a plus Familiarity with custodial duties such as trash disposal and surface sanitation is beneficial Previous work in facilities maintenance or porter roles will be considered an asset Ability to follow safety procedures and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to creating spotless environments that promote health, safety, and comfort.
