Housekeeping Attendant Department:
Housekeeping Job Summary The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and hygiene throughout guest rooms and public areas of the hotel. The role ensures guests enjoy a comfortable, clean, and welcoming environment while adhering to hotel standards and safety procedures. Key Responsibilities Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards. Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and toiletries. Dust, vacuum, mop floors, and sanitize bathrooms. Replenish room supplies and amenities. Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors. Clean corridors, elevators, lobbies, and other public areas as assigned. Handle guest requests promptly and professionally. Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Properly use and store cleaning equipment and chemicals. Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and report shortages. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is an advantage but not required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good attention to detail and organizational skills. Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods. Basic communication and customer service skills. Skills and Competencies Time management Attention to detail Reliability and punctuality Teamwork Customer service orientation Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures Working Conditions Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. May include weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts. Fast-paced hotel environment with daily cleaning targets.
