Janitor/housekeeper

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both commercial and residential spaces. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Handle floor care responsibilities such as buffing and waxing as needed. Conduct industrial cleaning tasks in warehouses or production areas. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the overall upkeep of the property. Respond to custodial requests promptly and efficiently. Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained properly. Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment. Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment. Familiarity with floor care practices including buffing and maintenance. Experience in residential painting is a plus. Ability to perform industrial cleaning duties safely and effectively. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
