Friday-Sunday (28.5 hours) Monday-Thursday and Saturday (24.5 hours) Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Floor Technician to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our facility's floors and surrounding areas. This energetic role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure a welcoming and hygienic environment for staff, visitors, and clients. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional custodial services that uphold our high standards of cleanliness and professionalism. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning of floors using appropriate methods such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming to maintain a pristine appearance. Conduct carpet cleaning procedures to remove stains, dirt, and debris, ensuring carpets are fresh and well-maintained. Apply floor care techniques including polishing and buffing to restore shine and protect surfaces from wear. Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored. Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or damage to property. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisors for quick resolution. Support environmental services initiatives by using eco-friendly cleaning products whenever possible. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services, particularly in commercial cleaning environments. Knowledge of various floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and carpet cleaning. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, extractors, and other janitorial tools safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during scheduled shifts. Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift; capable of performing repetitive tasks with precision.
