Houseman/Shuttle Diver 201 Kaliste Saloom Road, Lafayette, LA 70508 $11.99 - $12.00 an hour - Part-time, Full-time $11.99 - $12.00 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Houseman and Shuttle Driver to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. This role is essential in supporting the overall guest experience by providing exceptional custodial services within a hotel or similar setting. This role requires travel to the the airport and and other destinations as directed by Hotel Management. A valid driver's license is required due to these essential driving duties. Duties Perform cleaning duties across various hotel areas. to include hallways, and public spaces Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain a pristine appearance Assist with janitorial tasks to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the property Support housekeeping management in organizing supplies and maintaining inventory levels Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use Respond promptly to guest requests related to cleanliness or minor maintenance issues Follow safety protocols and proper cleaning procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff Provide transportation with Hotel Shuttle to Airport as well as other destinations dictated by Hotel Management Skills Customer service is number one Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services, preferably within a hospitality or hotel setting Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough cleaning tasks efficiently Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with hospitality standards and customer service principles is a plus Physical stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks and stand for extended periods This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a clean, safe, and inviting environment for guests while developing valuable skills in hospitality and custodial services.
