Evening Houseman

Walk-In applications are encouraged. We conduct walk-in interviews Monday through Friday from 10AM to 2PM at 1591 W. Prien Lake Rd., Lake Charles, LA. Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Evening Houseman to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of the property during evening hours, creating a welcoming and pristine environment for guests and staff alike. Your proactive approach to cleaning, floor care, and custodial duties will help maintain the high standards of our establishment. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure a spotless environment. Conduct detailed floor care including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning to uphold cleanliness standards. Handle industrial cleaning tasks using specialized equipment to maintain hygiene in all areas. Manage janitorial supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and usage of cleaning products. Assist with hotel housekeeping management tasks such as organizing linen supplies and coordinating with morning staff for seamless transitions. Maintain safety protocols during cleaning procedures and report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly. Support hospitality operations by responding swiftly to guest requests related to cleanliness or facility needs during evening hours. Experience Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within a hospitality or hotel environment. Familiarity with floor care techniques and industrial cleaning equipment. Previous hotel experience is highly preferred to understand guest service standards. Knowledge of hospitality operations and housekeeper management practices is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform thorough cleaning while adhering to safety guidelines. Ability to work independently during evening shifts with minimal supervision.
