The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Duties include performing daily cleaning tasks in resident apartments, common areas, and community spaces while ensuring all work meets established standards of cleanliness, safety, and infection control. The Housekeeper plays an important role in supporting the comfort, health, and well-being of the community.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces. Clean and disinfect resident apartments, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to established schedules. Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish towels and supplies as needed. Safely operate housekeeping equipment (e.g., vacuums, floor machines) and report any malfunctions. Properly handle, label, and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety standards. Assist with laundry services as required, including washing, drying, folding, and distribution. Remove trash and recyclables from resident apartments and community areas. Report maintenance or safety issues promptly to the supervisor. Adhere to infection control, safety, and sanitation policies at all times. Support special cleaning projects and community events as assigned. Respond promptly and effectively to resident, staff, or visitor housekeeping requests or concerns. Uphold Wingate's "Five Star" customer service approach in every aspect of the job. Required to perform duties efficiently in order to accomplish tasks in allotted time. Attend in-service educational programs. Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct. Understand facility's fire and diaster plans; follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies. Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations or standards of conduct. Performs additional duties as assigned.Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping experience preferred, ideally in healthcare, hospitality, or senior living. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and infection control practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents and staff.Compensation:
