Seasonal Part-Time Houseperson (24 Hours Per Week)

Houseperson (Seasonal, Part-Time)
Schedule:
Approximately 24 hours per week through the end of September Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Houseperson to join our hotel team for the busy season. This versatile role supports both the Housekeeping and Maintenance departments by ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are clean, organized, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is flexible, self-motivated, and enjoys a variety of tasks throughout the day. Key Responsibilities Assist housekeeping by delivering linens, towels, amenities, and guest supplies to rooms and storage areas. Collect and transport soiled linens and trash throughout the property. Operate laundry equipment and wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens and towels as needed. Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, restrooms, and outdoor spaces. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, touching up paint, replacing batteries, assembling furniture, and making minor repairs. Respond promptly to guest and staff requests for housekeeping or maintenance assistance. Help prepare guest rooms for arrivals by ensuring furnishings, amenities, and equipment are in proper working order. Assist with seasonal projects, deep cleaning, and property upkeep as assigned. Safely operate housekeeping and maintenance equipment while following all safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized work area and report any safety hazards or maintenance concerns. Qualifications Previous experience in housekeeping, maintenance, hospitality, or a related field is preferred but not required. Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, bending, climbing stairs, and working indoors and outdoors. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to work as part of a team. Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing daily needs. Weekend and holiday availability may be required.
