Full Job Description Kernwood Country Club Salem, Massachusetts Compensation:
$19.00 per hour
Report To:
Clubhouse Manager Position Summary The Locker Room Attendant is responsible for the daily operation, cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the men's locker room and fitness facilities. The successful candidate will provide exceptional service to members while maintaining a clean, comfortable, and professional environment. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering outstanding member experiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Member Service:
Provide professional, courteous, and attentive service to all members and guests. Assist members with locker room needs and requests. Perform shoe shining services and minor golf shoe maintenance, including replacing spikes and laces. Maintain a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere throughout the locker room facilities.
Locker Room Operations:
Ensure locker rooms, restrooms, vanity areas, and fitness spaces are clean, sanitary, and properly maintained throughout the day. Restock towels, toiletries, grooming products, and locker room supplies as needed. Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance concerns promptly. Maintain the overall appearance and organization of lockers, seating areas, and common spaces.
Housekeeping and Facility Maintenance:
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas. Clean sinks, toilets, mirrors, countertops, and other locker room fixtures. Remove trash and recycling throughout the facility. Maintain a professional appearance of all member-facing areas.
Qualifications:
Previous hospitality, country club, hotel, fitness center, or customer service experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor. Ability to interact professionally with members, guests, and fellow employees. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, and lifting. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to push, pull, and move equipment and supplies. Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and laundry tasks. Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
Schedule:
This is a full-time position requiring flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support club operations.
