Housekeeping Lead

Housekeeping Lead Hospitality Leadership Role The Vineyard Harbor Condominium Trust is seeking a motivated and technology-driven Housekeeping Lead to join our growing operations team at the Vineyard Harbor Motel on Martha's Vineyard. This is a newly developed hybrid leadership position designed to modernize and strengthen housekeeping operations through a combination of leadership, organization, hands-on support, and technology integration. The position replaces the former "Head of Housekeeping" role with a more operations and systems-focused structure while working alongside off-site management and on-site operations staff. The ideal candidate will lead by example, work closely with housekeeping staff daily, and help ensure all guest rooms are cleaned, inspected, and turned over efficiently while maintaining high hospitality standards. Additionally, Vineyard Harbor Motel is in the process of remodeling our break room area into a dedicated "Housekeeping HQ." This space will serve as the operational center for the Housekeeping Lead position and will include a computer workstation with multiple displays for real-time operational and room status updates. These updates will be available in real time to both front desk staff and management, helping improve communication, organization, accountability, and efficiency throughout daily operations. The system is designed to allow for more organized staff check-ins, task assignments, room tracking, shift coordination, and organization of laundry, linens, and housekeeping supplies. The Housekeeping Lead will work alongside our Operations Lead and Hospitality Leads as part of our overall operations team. The Laundry Attendant position will also fall under the supervision of the Housekeeping Lead.

Responsibilities Include:

Leading and overseeing housekeeping staff daily Helping develop, improve, and modernize housekeeping operations and procedures Training housekeeping staff and helping maintain consistent cleaning standards Inspecting and signing off on completed rooms prior to guest arrival Ensuring rooms are cleaned, inspected, and guest-ready in an efficient manner Providing real-time operational updates to off-site management Updating housekeeping status in real time within ResNexus Scheduling and communicating with staff through Connecteam Assisting with accountability, organization, and daily operational planning Tracking inventory levels and requesting supplies when needed Helping create and maintain operational standards and workflows Coordinating with management regarding room status, staffing needs, and operational updates Assisting with laundry operations and housekeeping support when needed Supporting a positive team culture focused on professionalism, hospitality, and efficiency

Qualifications:

Hospitality and/or housekeeping leadership experience preferred Comfortable using computers, tablets, apps, and scheduling software Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to lead by example Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and peak summer periods as needed Multilingual is a plus
