Housekeeper / Room Attendant -
Hampton Inn Position Summary:
The Housekeeper/Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms, corridors, and public areas are clean, sanitized, and maintained to Hampton Inn brand standards. This role directly impacts the guest experience and satisfaction, and requires attention to detail, efficiency, and teamwork.Key Responsibilities:
Clean and service guest rooms according to Hampton Inn brand standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing supplies Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms Follow all safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged property to the supervisor or front desk promptly Ensure laundry is completed on schedule and linens/towels are stocked appropriately Assist with special requests from guests as needed Maintain accurate records of completed rooms, cleaning schedules, and supply usage Support energy-saving and sustainability initiatives, including proper waste disposal and linen reuse programs Assist in training new housekeeping associates as neededPerformance Metrics:
Room Cleanliness Score:
Maintain ≥90% cleanliness score in internal audits and guest satisfaction surveysOn-Time Room Completion:
Complete daily room assignments within scheduled shift timeGuest Satisfaction:
Achieve positive guest feedback for cleanliness in online reviews and comment cardsSafety Compliance:
Zero safety violations and adherence to all cleaning and chemical handling proceduresInventory Accuracy:
Maintain proper levels of housekeeping supplies and report discrepanciesTeam Productivity:
Collaborate effectively with other housekeepers and support staff to meet property standardsQualifications:
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, hotel experience a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment usage Professional and courteous interaction with guests and team membersWorking Conditions:
Ability to lift up to 25-30 lbs and perform repetitive motions Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperature conditions Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts Exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and cleaning equipment Expectations /Leadership:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and reliability Take initiative to report issues or suggest improvements in housekeeping operations Follow Hampton Inn brand procedures and safety standards at all timesPay:
