Part-Time Housekeeper — Weekly Cleaning & Monthly Deep Clean (Downtown Bangor)

I'm looking for a dependable, detail-oriented housekeeper to keep my downtown Bangor apartment clean on a regular basis. This is a steady, ongoing part-time role for someone who takes pride in their work and wants a reliable weekly gig with a single trusted client. The work splits into two parts. Weekly upkeep, about 2 hours: general tidying, kitchen and dishes (load/unload, clear the sink), bathrooms, floors, surfaces, and laundry (wash, dry, fold). Essentially resetting the apartment to a clean baseline during the week. Monthly deep clean, about 4-5 hours: a thorough top-to-bottom pass — baseboards, inside appliances, detailed kitchen and bathroom scrubbing, dusting high and low, and the things the weekly visit doesn't have time for. I keep simple checklists for both the weekly and deep-clean visits, so you'll always know exactly what's expected. You fill them out as you go. A few details about the role: Pay is $25/hour, cash, paid after each visit. This is a 1099 independent contractor position. You are responsible for filing your own taxes and making sure you're in compliance with Maine self-employment laws. All cleaning supplies and equipment are provided and stored in the utility closet. You don't need to bring anything. You'll work independently, often when I am not at home. An iPhone is required for this role! Access to my apartment is through Apple Home — I'll add you as a guest on your iPhone so you can unlock the door during your scheduled cleaning window. Reliable transportation is required.

I use a vanilla fragrance throughout the home. If you have allergies or sensitivities to it, this likely isn't the right fit. What I'm looking for: Experience cleaning homes, with the kind of attention to detail where you catch what most people walk past. Trustworthy, discreet, and consistent. You'll have access to my home, so reliability week to week matters most. Must consent to and pass a background check. No criminal history. References required.
