Housekeeper

OGT Inns a growing business that owns and operates several boutique bed and breakfast/inns in Ogunquit, Maine. Our properties range from beach houses to high-quality inns and all have been recently updated or renovated. We like to create a comfortable, relaxing, and clean environment for our guests. We are looking to hire housekeepers dedicated to the same goals. Hotel or inn housekeeping experience is preferred. Must have cleaning experience. Attention to detail and cleanliness standards are critical. Having a professional and personable personality are important. Having a professional yet casual appearance, being trustworthy, and being punctual are required. Also, be kind, curious, and motivated. Ability to multi-task is required. Must have reliable transportation and a working cell phone, as well as be comfortable with a background check, and be able to legally work in the United States. The rate of pay is based on qualifications and experience. Our housekeepers earn tips on top of their regular pay. We offer paid vacation time and holidays (Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day off). We are also exploring additional benefit options for the future.

Primary responsibilities and duties:

Thoroughly cleaning of common areas of inns. Turning over and cleaning of guest rooms and bathrooms to a high level of detail. Making beds to company standards.

Laundry:

Removing linens from rooms, washing, drying, and folding. Trash removal. Restocking guest rooms with supplies. Organize cleaning closets, stock supplies as needed, and follow ordering protocols. Assisting innkeepers with breakfast prep, serving, and clean-up (is available for additional hours). Deep cleaning including washing windows and moving furniture. Other duties as assigned or needed to ensure clean environments.

Our positions are flexible:

part-time to full-time, and seasonal to year-round.. We operate as a team and all help out with various duties. We are truly looking for someone who is a team player, helpful, and friendly.
