Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Houseman/Janitor to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facility. This vital role ensures a welcoming environment for guests, staff, and visitors by performing thorough cleaning, floor care, and custodial tasks. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic to support our hospitality or industrial setting. Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks across all areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and guest rooms if applicable. Conduct floor care procedures such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces. Handle trash removal and waste management efficiently to uphold hygiene standards. Use industrial cleaning equipment safely and effectively to ensure high-quality results. Maintain cleanliness of common areas by dusting, polishing furniture, and disinfecting surfaces regularly. Assist with light maintenance duties or report repairs needed to the appropriate personnel. Follow safety protocols and proper cleaning procedures to create a safe environment for everyone. Requirements Proven experience in janitorial work, custodial services, or hospitality housekeeping management. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care and industrial cleaning methods. Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners safely. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts. Previous hotel or hospitality experience is a plus but not mandatory. Reliable with a positive attitude and willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
