Maintenance/Houseman

Responsible for carrying out maintenance and repair of hotel's needs. Assisting with cleanliness inside and outside of the building Completing the preventative maintenance checklist and minor repair work orders Checking both plumbing and electrical systems and making minor repairs Communicating with the General Manager about needed supplies and repairs. Refurbishing furniture and fixtures throughout the hotel Responding quickly and professionally to guest requests and following up to ensure guest satisfaction. Effectively communicating with multiple departments regarding progress of repairs Ensuring all logs are maintained. Pool maintenance and upkeep Parking Lot maintenance Snow removal

• snow blowing, salting, sanding, shoveling
• Complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Maintain security and safety of equipment, keys and supplies issued each day.
• Report needed repairs of unsafe conditions to the General Manager.
• Will practice and observe all safety and security rules and procedures.
• Flexibility in schedule, ability, and willingness to work weekends, weeknights and holidays as needed, is required.

Skills:

• Mechanical knowledge: Ability to understand and perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery
• Facilities maintenance: Knowledge of general maintenance practices to ensure the upkeep of the hotel's physical environment
• Customer service: Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent service to guests and address their needs or concerns
