Job Description

Lead Housekeeper - Bed & Breakfast (Saugatuck) We're a newly opened bed & breakfast in Saugatuck looking for an experienced housekeeper with experience in Luxury hotels or AirBnBs to help us run the cleaning staff. Year-round position with a short break in January. You'll work closely with a hands-on owner. This is a managerial position and only candidates with relative experience will be considered. Competitive pay with monthly tenure "bonus". So, your wage increases based on tenure, up to a limit.
Urgently hiring:
hiring bonus $100 for start date of 7/1/2026 or sooner. Key Responsibilities Clean and turn over guest rooms after check-out; perform mid-stay refreshes for multi-night guests Clean and reset common areas daily, including exteriors and post-breakfast dining room, kitchen, and dishes Wash, dry, fold, and stock linens and towels; maintain the linen closet to organized standards Identify and flag process improvements Conduct inspections, and be available when other cannot show up, within reason. Manage schedule for cleaning staff Manage cleaning staff including but not limited to: training, conducting performance reviews, taking appropriate disciplinary measures when needed, and creating an overall efficient and positive work environment Requirements Prior managerial experience in a hotel, motel, or bed & breakfast is required Reliable, punctual, and self-directed Friendly, professional demeanor with a strong hospitality mindset Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently - you notice all of the details and are not afraid to say something when someone misses a spot Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly as part of normal duties Comfortable with physical work including lifting, bending, and being on your feet Reliable transportation Schedule Mornings/Mid-Day (approximately 10:00am-5:00pm).
