POSITION TITLE

Senior Companion and Light Housekeeper - This is a casual position. Age Well is seeking employees committed to working consistently for 6-months or longer in this position.

Hours:

Range 8 -20+ hours weekly

PURPOSE:

To provide light housekeeping services and companion support to older adults living in the community.

Program Manager

CASUAL EMPLOYMENT DEFINITION

There is no guarantee or commitment from Age Well Arrowhead that work will continue indefinitely; Hours may be irregular and scheduling may change due to the unpredictable nature of working with an older population.

CASUAL EMPLOYEE RATE

$17.00/hour- $20.00/hour Age Well Milestone Bonus Program $250, $500, and $1000 annually

POSITION DEMANDS

Knowledge and skills to assist older adults with household services; Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail; Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written communication; Team player who understands how individual contributions are essential for the success of the program/agency as a whole and who values professionalism; Flexible schedule to accommodate client home visits; Driver's license with own transportation to make home visits.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide companionship; Laundry; Light housekeeping; dusting, vacuuming, mopping, making beds, changing linens; Cleaning bath & kitchen; Meal preparation and clean up; Home office assistance; opening and reading mail, assisting with form completion other similar tasks as requested by client; Driving clients as requested; Provide appropriate record keeping per position requirements; Maintain client records as required by funding source(s), HIPAA and AAAA requirements; Perform other duties as assigned. Log in and out using Better Impact Provide information about each client visit using Better Impact Complete weekly time sheets that are signed by the client Submit weekly time sheets on designated day and time for payroll purposes. Participate in mandatory meetings and trainings. Report to work on time. Communicate any concerns regarding the client or your position immediately to the Program Manager. Have a back up plan for unanticipated events that may prevent you from reporting to work.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma; Ability to pass a background check; Experience working with older adults; Ability to work independently and interdependently; Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; Ability to be trained in new models of support; Ability to utilize personal computer for recordkeeping, reporting, and communication; Ability to articulate and support Age Well mission and vision.

PERFORMANCE IS SATISFACTORY WHEN

Client satisfaction measures report that the program is responsive to their needs; Records are complete, accessible, and organized.
