Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Public Area Attendant and play a vital role in ensuring our guests experience the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining pristine public spaces, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other communal areas. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning and maintenance of all public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents, ensuring surfaces are spotless and sanitized. Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) protocols and using proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Conduct manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy equipment or supplies safely to prevent injury. Carry out floor care procedures including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain a polished appearance. Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to ensure guest and staff safety during incidents or evacuations. Utilize janitorial equipment and industrial cleaning tools efficiently for optimal results across all public spaces. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, safety checks, and supply inventories to support custodial management efforts. Experience Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a hospitality environment is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with industrial cleaning equipment and floor care techniques. Knowledge of chemical agent handling, safety data sheets (SDS), and proper use of cleaning chemicals. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and standards. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently. Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols. Previous hospitality or hotel experience will be considered an asset for success in this role.
