Schedule:
Temporary Full Time | 80 hours per pay period, every other weekend and holiday rotation | Days Join Pelican Valley Senior Living (PVSL) and help us create a meaningful impact! The position is temporary full time from June to September. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you'll create a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our residents, staff and guests. We're looking for a compassionate professional with qualifications such as a cleaning experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for working with seniors. Housekeeping Assistant :
This position is responsible for maintaining Pelican Valley's facilities in a clean, sanitary, orderly and attractive condition. Provides a pleasant living environment for residents and an organized, safe working environment for staff.
Education and Experience Required:
Critical thinking, interpersonal effectiveness and teamwork skills are required. Must complete and pass a state required background study. Able to physically perform the duties required by the position. Required to have the ability to read, write and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Housekeeping Services- Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with community policies and department standards. Sweeps, vacuums, dusts, washes, waxes, scours and sanitizes areas as assigned; moving furniture and equipment to clean behind or under as necessary. Maintains all assigned areas in a safe manner. Reports any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisor or member of the leadership team. Follows all regulatory compliance standards. Maintains equipment and supply levels as needed. Reports supply/equipment needs to supervisor. Responds to resident requests and special requests, concerns or complaints and promptly notifies supervisor. Teamwork - Assists and supports all workers and positions in the building; identifies what needs to be done and assists as needed. Other Duties As Assigned- Participate and assist with evacuation procedures in case of fire, disaster or other occurrences requiring the resident be moved. Practice proper body mechanics and incorporates safe practices into all job duties. Assists in special projects as needed. Practice infection control procedures. Assists with special functions as directed. Demonstrates respect for facility property and supplies. Required to complete assigned online education modules within designated timeframes.
