House Cleaner (Apartments)

Oaks Properties is looking for an ambitious Apartment Caretaker to join us and maintain one of our apartment properties.

Job Summary:

The Apartment Caretaker position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of the apartment community.

Schedule:

1st Shift. Can be negotiated but projected schedule would be Monday - Friday 7:30AM to 4PM and as needed on evenings and weekends. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties of the

Apartment Caretaker:

Keeping all interior and exterior areas clean such as vacuuming, mopping, cleaning windows/walls, and picking up trash. Rotate trash and recycle dumpsters daily. Pick up trash and cigarette butts throughout the grounds. Spray and pull weeds as necessary. Shovel snow as needed. Change light bulbs when needed. Report any problems to the Community Manager. Assist with apartment turnovers.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Highschool Diploma / GED. 1+ years of cleaning experience in a multi-family setting. Basic computer proficiency preferred. Physical Demands Will be exposed to constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, twisting, pushing/pulling, lifting/moving/carrying (light and heavy loads, 0lbs - 50lbs+), climbing stairs and ladders. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small power tools and other equipment. Must be able to use and wear required safety equipment.

Tools:

Vacuum, mop buckets, broom and dustpan, cleaning cloths, window squeegee, spray bottles, trash grabber or pickup tool, trash carts or dollies, weed sprayer, shovel for snow removal, ice scraper and ice melt spreader if applicable, step stool or ladder, and basic hand tools such as screwdrivers.
