Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, patient areas, or facility spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Maintain sanitation standards by properly handling waste disposal and disinfecting surfaces regularly. Execute floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure pristine flooring conditions. Restock supplies such as linens, toiletries, and cleaning materials to ensure operational efficiency. Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to promote a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Assist with environmental services tasks that support infection control and overall sanitation protocols. Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial settings or healthcare environments is highly desirable. Experience with hospital or healthcare facility cleaning enhances your ability to meet specialized sanitation standards. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to workplace safety and chemical handling is preferred. Familiarity with floor care techniques such as stripping, waxing, and carpet extraction is advantageous. Previous experience in environmental services or hospital housekeeping roles demonstrates your ability to adapt quickly to demanding environments.
